Setting Intentions with CBD

Every morning you have two choices: Continue to sleep with your dreams or wake up and chase them.

Try to recall the last time you woke up and chose to be mindful of your intentions. When you started your morning off by making that delicious breakfast, read a few chapters out of that novel you keep putting down, danced around in your underwear, or just allowed yourself time to breathe before starting your day, how did the rest of the day follow? How did you feel?

We know from experience that when we give back to ourselves, we're more productive, clear-headed, and less stressed because we've had time to set our intentions for the day. Though it's easy to let ourselves sleep in that extra 30 minutes when we actively choose to be mindful by giving that spare time, we're allowing ourselves to connect with our mind, body, and spirit.

When we spread ourselves thin, giving attention to multiple different things, it's near impossible to experience one thing intimately. We must give time to our actions by setting intentions and paying attention to how they influence our minds. That's you honoring your body.

Faith, Trust, & Pixie Dust

If you know a little about botany, you might know that certain plants have the ability to alter our state of consciousness and even provide healing properties.

Our baseline of consciousness requires a unique balance between certain chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, GABA, and glutamine. These chemicals bind to our receptors, creating changes within our cells. However, external molecules, such as those found in the cannabis plant, can influence our neurotransmitters and endocannabinoid systems and alter our thoughts, perceptions of the outside world, and sense of place in the universe.

The same goes for our consumption of CBD. Though CBD is non-psychoactive, it still comes from the cannabis hemp plant. By allowing us to set intentions and ground ourselves before consuming CBD, we are respecting our bodies and taking time for ourselves, focusing on any aches or pains, subconscious worries, and how we want CBD to respond to our body.

As humans, we must rely on our brains to gain a deeper understanding.

Mindful Intentions

If you choose Goddess Well for your CBD consumption, we are eternally grateful for allowing us to take you on this spiritual journey. You can rest assured knowing that our formula was designed using a unique recipe that combines organic, sustainably sourced CBD with medicinal herbs that complement our inherent self healing power.

When it comes to consuming CBD, not being fully present in your body raises the question of how CBD is responding to the body — How's CBD influencing your mood? Are you noticing any changes throughout the day? Are you truly experiencing all the properties CBD has to offer?

Don’t Wait For It. Create It

“I don’t have any control over what actually happens except for that I have full control over my will for myself, my intention, and why I’m there. That’s all that matters.” – SZA

What do you hope to accomplish, and what state of mind do you want to do it in?

By listening to your body, you begin to understand the internal workings of within. What is your body telling you? How are you responding to these feelings? From there, you can decide the state of mind to which you respond.

Get comfortable.

Let’s say, for example, that you’re noticing some unwanted period pain throughout your day, and all you want to do is grab that heating pad, one of Goddess Well’s Radiance capsules, and relax for the rest of the evening. But, before consuming CBD, there are a few extra steps you can take to ensure you’re making use of all the plant’s healing properties while setting intentions for yourself and the pain.

Like meditation, you want to ground yourself. You can do a few things to achieve this. First, find a place where you feel cozy and at peace. Maybe that’s your bedroom, cuddled up on the couch with your pup, or nestled down with a good book. Regardless, you want this time to feel comfortable while you set your intentions. Other calming techniques to try are putting on some soothing music, lighting a candle or incense, or turning the lights down low. The key is to feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible.

Like magic, watch how your body responds.

Once you’ve settled down and felt comfortable, begin to set your intentions on relieving the pain and opening the heart chakra. After consumption, you’ll find that your body can identify the direct source of pain. You might even begin to sink deeper into a place of tranquility. This degree of self-care and self-awareness will relax the mind and body to a state that will enlighten your senses and well-being with much more ease and peace of mind. Alternatively, use these techniques in other areas which require some extra attention.

After consumption, you’ll find that CBD has had an impact, lifting some of the weight off your shoulders, temporarily relieving pain, melting away stress, and allowing you to clear your mind. This extra help will enable you to remove all the mental clutter, see through the pressure, and figure out the root of your stress or tension.

Remember, You Hold The Power

We’ve learned that being mindful of our intentions is key to a healthy life. When we choose to be actively kind and honor our bodies, we are welcomed with a clear head, wisdom, and guidance to carry us throughout our day—allowing us to reach our full potential and conquer the obstacles that may fall before us.

Aside from our intentions, we must equally be mindful to remember to set them. You can implement this practice in many aspects of your life by taking that hour or even five minutes to honor yourself. By taking that time to yourself in the morning, preparing for that job interview, or before consuming CBD, we are drawing up the map to our success.

We hold power within us whether or not we’re aware of it. It’s all about if we’re conscious enough to embrace it.
